What certifications does South-Am have?
South-Am is BRC, HACCP, BMP, and Chilean food safety, organic and kosher certified. Our facilities are audited regularly.

Where can I find South-Am products?
You can find our freeze-dried products in a wide range of foods from the trusted brands that people enjoy everyday: Post and Kellogg's cereals, PepsiCo Intl snack foods, and products offered by Nestle, Amano Foods (Japan), SC Foods (Japan) and others.

Are your products organically grown?
Our facilities are fully organic certified and we search out organic certified produce partners for our clients when needed.

Why should I care about a more efficient freeze-dry technology?
Our state of the art technology allows for 24/7 monitoring and total quality control of the process resulting in both a higher quality product and a 30% reduction in energy consumption. Good for our clients and good for the environment.

What is counter-seasonal? What Chilean products are available counter-seasonally?
Counter seasonal refers to the opposite growing seasons between the Northern and Southern hemisphere. Our Southern hemisphere growing conditions mean that most of the products harvested in the Northern hemisphere spring-summer time (April through July) are harvested between August and March in Chile. This gives us the ability to produce products for our customers in the Northern hemisphere when other producers are out of stock

What trade and export issues are associated with doing business in Chile?
Chile has free trade agreements with the majority of North American, European and Asian countries and therefore is an extremely effective trade partner. In addition, products from Chile pay zero or low duties.
